Dewakan Retains Coveted Two MICHELIN Stars and a MICHELIN Green Star

Dewakan continues to be a culinary leader as the only restaurant in Malaysia with this accolade, while Bidou is a new entrant to the MICHELIN Selected list and recipient of the Opening of the Year Award

Petaling Jaya, 14 November 2025— Paramount FoodPrint Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Paramount Corporation Berhad, proudly celebrates a milestone achievement as its acclaimed restaurant brands, Dewakan and Bidou, earned coveted recognitions in the MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2026, announced on 11 November 2025 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Now in its fourth year, the MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang highlights 151 establishments spanning the Starred, Bib Gourmand, and Selected categories, celebrating the rich and diverse culinary landscape of Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

Leading the way once again, Dewakan continues to set the standard for culinary excellence by retaining its two MICHELIN Stars for the third consecutive year and one MICHELIN Green Star for the second year. Since opening its doors at Naza Tower in 2019, Dewakan has consistently pushed the boundaries of modern Malaysian cuisine, using indigenous ingredients to tell a uniquely local story through food. The MICHELIN Green Star further highlights its commitment to responsible sourcing and showcasing local ingredients to reintroduce their beauty and reduce the industry’s dependence on imports.

Meanwhile, Paramount FoodPrint’s latest addition to its culinary portfolio, Bidou, a French restaurant located in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, was awarded the Opening of the Year Award and is listed in the MICHELIN Selected category, a recognition of newly opened restaurants that have made its mark on the dining landscape. In its debut year, Bidou impressed MICHELIN inspectors with its refined approach to French gastronomy and its warm, inviting hospitality. Helmed by a talented culinary team, Bidou’s menu embodies precision, seasonality, and warmth, earning critical acclaim within months of its opening.

Paramount FoodPrint General Manager and award-winning chef-patron, Darren Teoh, said, “These recognitions belong to our team and the community that inspires us. We are deeply grateful to, once again, receive two MICHELIN Stars and one MICHELIN Green Star. To us, the stars represent more than culinary excellence – they embody our commitment to showcasing Malaysia’s ingredients, people and stories with authenticity and respect. This renewed recognition affirms that Malaysian cuisine has a rightful place in the global conversation of fine dining.”

“Receiving the award and being listed in the MICHELIN Selected category for Bidou is incredibly fulfilling. Beyond the recognition itself, it reflects our belief that there are many ways to cook with purpose and care. Whether inspired by the flavours of our Malaysian heritage or the traditions of French cuisine, both are rooted in the same values – a respect for ingredients, for craft and for the people who make it possible. At the heart of it, it is about the intention behind what we cook and why we serve,” said Teoh.

Paramount Corporation Berhad Deputy Chairman, Benjamin Teo, said, “We are immensely proud of the Dewakan and Bidou teams for their achievements in the MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2026. These recognitions reflect their dedication to culinary excellence and embody Paramount’s broader vision of nurturing Malaysian talent and building brands that bring pride to our nation. Through Paramount FoodPrint, we remain committed to investing in experiences that celebrate craftsmanship, authenticity and innovation – values that define us as a company.”
