KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) – Paramount Corporation Bhd (PCB) was announced top among the four companies that garnered the Merit Award for Top Corporate Governance and Performance by the Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group (MSWG).
PCB won in the category of companies with market capitalisation of between RM300 million and RM1 billion at MSWG’s Annual Corporate Governance Awards ceremony held here last night.
The award placed PCB in 35th position among the top 100 companies ranked by MSWG, the company said in a statement Friday.
PCB is an investment holding company with well-established interests in property development and education services.
The awards were given to top companies that have adhered to high standards of Corporate Governance (CG) and have continuously shown good financial performance.
Group Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Chew said PCB was committed to adhering to the highest standards of good CG in its business processes and maintained dialogue with stakeholders.
