Leveraging on its track record for building highly valued addresses that stand the test of time, Paramount Property strives to deliver on its promise as the People’s Developer, by building enduring, high-value addresses such as Sejati Residences in Cyberjaya, ATWATER in Section 13, PJ, Greenwoods Salak Perdana in Sepang and two Utropolis locations in Glenmarie, Shah Alam as well as Batu Kawan in Penang, the northern region’s exciting new growth area.

Moving forward, Paramount continues to grow its landbank to create desirable addresses that feature innovative, practical designs to meet the needs of the growing Malaysian population.
Getting on board the new shared economy business, Paramount has also ventured into the new and growing co-working space business under the brand Co-labs Coworking. This offers the Group an alternative recurring rental income and supports the take-up of space in commercial properties. Currently, Co-labs Coworking occupies two spaces – at Utropolis Marketplace in Glenmarie spanning 4,000 sq ft and another 20,000 sq ft at the Starling Mall. Riding on this momentum of growth, two more co-working spaces are set to open in 2019 – at Naza Towers in the KLCC vicinity and at Sekitar26 in Shah Alam which will be its biggest yet, at 40,000 sq ft.
From Townships to Integrated Developments
Paramount Property’s first property development project, Taman Patani Jaya in Sungai Petani, Kedah, was launched in 1981 and had established industry benchmarks in township design and planning. This gave Paramount the impetus to forge ahead with subsequent developments like the award-winning Bandar Laguna Merbok township, a luxury riverside residential address houses Kedah’s first gated-and-guarded community. In 2012, the launch of Bukit Banyan, a hilltop development built on 520 acres of land, further cemented Paramount’s position as the preferred developer in Sungai Petani.
In line with Paramount’s strategy to expand into high growth areas, the company achieved a milestone when it acquired 524.7 acres of freehold land in the Klang Valley in June 2003. Paramount Property’s first township in the Klang Valley, Kemuning Utama, is today a mature, self-contained township which is also home to Paramount Property’s first high-rise development, KU Suites.
Paramount Property has since expanded its footprint into other parts of the Klang Valley with Sejati Residences in Cyberjaya, a luxury residential development anchored by the iconic Chengal House clubhouse, ATWATER in Section 13, PJ which is an integrated high-rise development multi-generational living facilities and Greenwoods Salak Perdana in Sepang, a 237-acre township development in the Klang Valley that offers wide inviting spaces, tranquil parks and lush greenery.
Leveraging on its expertise in property development and education businesses, it launched Paramount Utropolis in Glemarie, a university metropolis anchored by UOW Malaysia KDU University College campus. This concept is mirrored in the Utropolis Batu Kawan development, which marks Paramount Property’s entry into the lucrative Penang property market.
This strategy will also be replicated in Paramount Property’s latest development, Berkeley Uptown Klang, which will be an integrated high-rise development anchored by Sri KDU International School.
Paramount Property has also built commercial and industrial property developments such as Surian Industrial Park in Kota Damansara and more recently, a boutique industrial development with an urban DNA called Sekitar26 in Shah Alam.
Paramount has been involved in Education since 1983 and had supported tens of thousands of Malaysians in their pursuit of academic and intellectual development.
It is the largest K-12 education services provider in Malaysia with Sri KDU Schools, R.E.A.L schools, R.E.A.L pre-schools and Cambridge English for Life (CEFL) enrichment centres under its umbrella. It also holds a strategic stake of 35% in UOW Malaysia KDU.
In October 2003, Paramount entered the private primary and secondary education space through the establishment of Sekolah Sri KDU. Located in an award-winning campus in Kota Damansara, it offers the Malaysian national curriculum.
Sekolah Sri KDU quickly established a reputation for high quality, all-round education under its ethos of “letting every student shine”.
Testament to its sound pedagogy, Sri KDU Secondary School secured the top position among Malaysian schools in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2012, placing it among top-ranked countries in the world in mathematics, science and reading.
In response to the growing preference for private schools offering international curricula, Sri KDU Schools opened the Sri KDU International School in Kota Damansara in September 2011, offering the national curriculum of England.
In 2007, Sri KDU Schools expanded its offering to include the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) to provide a holistic education approach, equipping students with critical-thinking skills and a global outlook.
A new Sri KDU International School is being built at Berkeley Uptown Klang, Paramount Property’s latest development. It is slated to open in 2021 with a 1,500-student capacity.
In line with the Group’s strategy to scale up its primary and secondary school segments, Paramount Education inked an agreement on 11 January 2017 to acquire a 66% stake in R.E.A.L Education Group.
R.E.A.L has a strong presence in the kindergarten, primary and secondary and child enrichment programmes sectors under three key brands – R.E.A.L Kids, R.E.A.L Schools and Cambridge English for Life (CEFL).
