Paramount tops the charts at Malaysia Developer Awards 2024, with three major wins

Paramount Corporation Berhad was ranked no. 1 at the Malaysia Developer Awards (MDA) 2024 in the Top-of-the-Chart-Awards (TOTC) for Market Cap Below RM1 billion.

Paramount also won the following in the TOTC:

  • Best in Quantitative
  • Best in Qualitative

This is the best achievement by Paramount at the MDA Awards since the latter’s inception in 2022. The Award aims to set the definitive benchmark for property development, promote industry excellence and be a reliable guide for consumers.

Minister of Housing and Local Government Nga Kor Ming was the special guest at the awards ceremony held at JW Marriott, Kuala Lumpur on 18 October 2024.  Aside from the TOTC Awards, there were also Special Awards: Rising Star Award, International Award and Transformation Award.

Sime Darby Property Bhd won the TOTC for RM1bil and above. It also won the Best in Quantitative while the Best in Qualitative award for RM1 billion and above went to SP Setia Bhd.

Paramount Property CEO Mr Chee Siew Pin received the awards on behalf of Paramount for the Best in Quantitative, while Paramount Deputy Group CEO Benjamin Teo received the awards for Best in Qualitative and The Top of The Charts award.

International Real Estate Federation FIABCI Malaysian Chapter president Dr Yu Kee Su said, “As we look towards the future, we must acknowledge the increasingly vital role of sustainable development in the modern urban landscape.

“By creating innovative, sustainable and inclusive urban spaces, developers are not just shaping the built environment but actively contributing to a global movement toward more resilient and equitable cities.

“Their achievements are a testament to how this industry can lead by example, influencing urban policy and setting new standards for sustainable development,” he said.

Star Media Group group chief executive officer Chan Seng Fatt said, “The awards set a new benchmark for Malaysian developers that aligns with global standards of excellence.”

He said property developers are tasked with building not just for today, but for the future, creating homes that will evolve with growing families and changing societal needs.

“There is also a growing emphasis on integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into every project to ensure that developments are sustainable and beneficial to the community,” he said.

Congratulations to Paramount Property for showing the way!
